Dear Brothers,
Here we are again, another three months have passed, and it is time for our new Trestleboard. Firstly I would like to wish those of you who haven’t been able to come out to a meeting this year a belated ‘Happy New Year’.
The Lodge has had a busy time since I last wrote you, thankfully the weather has been kind to us, and we have been able to complete our program without any cancellations. In December we raised 5 new Master Masons, and on the 1st February we initiated 6 new Brothers. This ceremony was performed by our Junior Warden in an exemplary manner with the assistance of the Officers of the Lodge, and it was nice to see a couple newly raised Brothers take part in the ceremony.
The Lodge also held it’s annual ‘Breakfast with Santa’ on the 18th December, and it’s ’Holiday Party’ on the 7th January, my thanks go out to all the Brothers who helped make those events happen.
As you will see from the Trestleboard we have a very busy spring in front of us, and there are a few things happening that I would like to highlight. On the 7th March we will be conferring the 2nd Degree on the 6 new Masons who joined the Lodge in February. This Degree will be conferred by our Senior Warden. The 3rd Degree will be conferred on the 4th April, and I urge all who can, to come out and support our new ‘Brothers’, and the Lodge.
On the 20th April, Wallkill Lodge will be hosting a meeting in Grand Lodge Room at Grand Lodge in New York. We will be hosting a party of Freemasons from the Province of Essex in the U.K. who are coming over to demonstrate the Emulation Ritual of the Third Degree. Details of this meeting can be found in by clicking here.
You will note from the Trestleboard that we will again hold a ‘Public Installation‘ of the new officers, and that this will be on Sunday 3rd June at 2:00 PM.
Finally, as this is the last Trestleboard for this Masonic year, I would be remiss in not thanking all the Officers and the Brothers who have supported us this year. I hope that you have enjoyed it as much as I have.
With best wishes to you all.
Colin ‘O’
